Machaivelli was important to research into poilitical theory, so notably so he wrote a book. His thoughts were often unorganized, but compelling. He received a humanist education. He believed people could only gain power if they were responsible with it. Some of his perspectives were said to be "of the Devil". His belief was that the Romans could hold power because they portrayed themselves as trustworthy.
